IRC operators are constantly barraged with requests for help using IRC. The ICU (pronounced "eye see you"), or IRC Certification: User, is a way to ensure only knowledgable people can join a server and participate in our core mission of advancing communications and enhancing community engagement.
Exam preparation courses are available from a wide variety of third-party vendors. Make sure you only take the course from accredited vendors who display the ICUP, or IRC Certification: User Prep, certification.
An exhaustive list of vendors is beyond the scope of this document.
IRC User Certification exam fees will be reimbursed 100% to shits (those who actively contribute to the channel, e.g., not bots and not lurkers) who are able to pass the exam.
Those who do not pass will not be reimbursed. No exceptions will be made to this policy. We apologize for the inconvenience.
The ICU test form is available online and can be studied in advance. The test questions may seem trivial, but be warned that the questions will always be very specific to the person answering them. Plagiarism may seem easy, but is trivial for us to detect.
Submitting the test is simplicity itself:

Thank you to all our sponsors!
Thank you to all our sponsors... but mostly the platinum sponsors. Fuck those other cheap-ass jerks.
